A quick and delicious BBQ recipe, these teriyaki beef skewers are perfect for a weekend afternoon - or for your Fourth of July party!


  • 1 tsp soy sauce, reduced sodium
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 5 oz beef top sirloin steak, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • ¼ onion, cut into bite-size chunks
  • ½ green bell pepper, cut into bite-size chunks
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ cup snowpeas


Whisk together the soy sauce, honey, ground ginger, garlic powder and a teaspoon of water in a small bowl.

Thread the beef, cherry tomatoes, onion and bell pepper chunks intermittently onto two wooden skewers and coat evenly with the sauce. Set aside to marinate for about 10-15 minutes in the fridge, turning once about halfway through.

When the skewers are done marinating, spray the oil into a nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat. Alternatively, if the weather is nice, fire up your outdoor grill. Cook skewers for about 2 minutes each side, or until done to your liking. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy with snowpeas on the side, steamed if desired.
